A pocos días de terminar el año echamos la vista atrás  recordando un año que empezó  cubierto de nieve  y presagios desalentadores.

Un año en el que pese a la nube de pesimismo que cubre el mundo decidisteis visitarnos en Nueva York, y nos elegisteis para prometeros amor eterno, para pasar vuestra luna de miel, para cumplir el sueño de correr la famosa Marathon de Nueva York por una promesa, para competir en una olimpiada, para reencontraros con un amigo especial, o simplemente  para conocer la ciudad mas famosa del mundo.

El año en el que Wall Street se llenó de indignados y en el City Hall se celebró la primera boda gay. El año en el que la “zona cero” se abrió por primera vez al público.

El año en el que el Estado de Nueva York fue  primero sacudido por un terremoto y a los pocos días se paralizó  por completo, suspendiendo todos los transportes públicos por la amenaza de una tal Irene con forma de huracán.

Y pese a todo, volasteis desde Singapur, Viena, Chile, Paris, Argentina, Costa Rica, Alemania, Italia, Canadá, Mexico, Colombia, España y muchos otros lugares.

Un  año lleno de anécdotas que habéis querido compartir con nosotros .

Por todo ello, queremos daros las gracias de corazón.

A few days before ending the year we look back remembering a year that started with snow and grim omens.

A year that despite the cloud of pessimism that covers the world, you all decided to visit us in New York for different reasons.

To engage with your girlfriend, to spend your honeymoon, to fulfill the dream of running the famous New York Marathon for a promise, to compete in the Olympics, to meet a special friend or just to know the most famous city in the world.

The year in which Wall Street was filled with indignation and the City Hall held its first gay wedding.

The year in which “ The ground cero” was reopened to the public.

The year in which the State of New York was first shaken by an earthquake and a few days after was halt completely, suspending all public transportation by the threat of a Hurricane called Irene.

But despite all of that you all decided to fly from Singapore, Vienna, Chile, Paris, Argentina, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and many other places.

A year full of anecdotes that you decided sharing with us.
